Eggless Coffee Cake Recipe
A delicious Coffee Cake recipe with chocolate chips because aren’t they the best together?
Who does not love a moist and nice Coffee Cake full of flavours with just a handful of ingredients? Don’t tell me if you are addicted to this one because it’s soo good!
Moist Eggless Coffee Cake Ingredients
We use very commonly available ingredients for this cake. It’s so easy to make and you can mix and bake this even when you are low on the regular baking ingredients like Condensed Milk, Yogurt, Butter etc.
So what do we need to make this cake?
All-purpose Flour: Your regular maida/all-purpose flour at home.
Baking Soda & Baking Powder: The usual leavening agents. If you do not have Baking Powder, skip it and increase the baking soda up to 1/2 teaspoon.
Sugar & Instant Coffee: Use regular white sugar powdered and sifted at home and instant coffee of any good brand which dissolves quickly. Coffee Decoction made with filter coffee cannot be used here in this recipe.
Chocolate Chips: If you do not have these at hand, break a milk chocolate bar like Dairy Milk in to little pieces and use. But it is highly recommended to add these. They take the flavour profile for this cake to the next level otherwise it would just be a plain jane coffee cake.
Sunflower Oil: Any odour-free oil can be used instead like Canola Oil, Rice bran oil, etc.
Milk: Use full-fat milk for better results.

- Sift the dry ingredients which are flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sugar.
- Add the chocolate chips to this bowl and give a mix so they are all coated with the dry ingredients. This helps to not let them sink in the batter while baking.
- Measure the milk and mix the instant coffee powder in the milk. Add oil and vanilla to this and then transfer this mixture to the bowl of dry ingredients.
- Combine everything gently and bake in a 7×5 inch cake pan for 25 minutes at 170°C. Let it cool for at least an hour before demoulding and slicing.

- 120 grams Sifted Powdered Sugar
- 30 ml Sunflower Oil (any Odorless Oil)
- 165 ml Milk
- 2 teaspoon Instant Coffee Powder
- 2-3 tablespoons Chocolate Chips (heaping)
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Hi Shruti. This cake is best to eat within 3 days (under continuous refrigeration) of making it.
